Emergence of Dragonflies

Location: Si Nakharin Reservoir (14° 34' 19" N / 99° 12' 16" E)

The Si Nakharin Reservoir is situated in Thailand, 172 km NW of Bangkok in the Kanchanaburi Province.

A very large population of Brachythemis contaminata lives around this reservoir. Most of the emerging dragonflies presented here are B. contaminata.

Even if we are now in the heart of the dry season, it is still possible to find easily the following common species:
